Heat Kernel Expansion for Operators of the Type of the Square Root of the Laplace Operator

چکیده
A method is suggested for the calculation of the DeWitt-Seeley-Gilkey (DWSG) coefficients for the operator √ −∇2 + V (x) basing on a generalization of the pseudodifferential operator technique. The lowest DWSG coefficients for the operator √ −∇2 + V (x) are calculated by using the method proposed. It is shown that the method admits a generalization to the case of operators of the type (−∇2 + V (X)), where m is an arbitrary rational number. A more simple method is proposed for the calculation of the DWSG coefficients for the case of strictly positive operators under the sign of root. By using this method, it is shown that the problem of the calculation of the DWSG coefficients for such operators is exactly solvable. Namely, an explicit formula expressing the DWSG coefficients for operators with root through the DWSG coefficients for operators without root is deduced.

Spectral Riesz–Cesàro Means: How the Square Root Function Helps Us to See Around the World
The heat-kernel expansion for a nonanalytic function of a differential operator, and the integrated (Cesàro-smoothed) spectral densities associated with the corresponding nonanalytic function of the spectral parameter, exhibit a certain nonlocal behavior. Because of this phenomenon, care is needed in applying the pseudodifferential symbolic calculus to nonanalytic functions. We demonstrate this...

In this work, we prove the existence of a spectral function for singular q-Sturm-Liouville operator. Further, we establish a Parseval equality and expansion formula in eigenfunctions by terms of the spectral function.

We study the heat kernel for an operator of Laplace type with a δfunction potential concentrated on a closed surface. We derive the general form of the small t asymptotics and calculate explicitly several first heat kernel coefficients.

In this paper we introduce and study Besselian $g$-frames. We show that the kernel of associated synthesis operator for a Besselian $g$-frame is finite dimensional. We also introduce $alpha$-dual of a $g$-frame and we get some results when we use the Hilbert-Schmidt norm for the members of a $g$-frame in a finite dimensional Hilbert space.
